The true story of how a Bachelorette contestant once got his face shaved by a SI Swimsuit model

The Bachelorette is one of the most popular shows on TV, and this season is no exception. But did you know that one of this year's contestants was once treated to a shave by none other than Chanel Iman? It's true and we have the story.

It was February 2015 and SI Swimsuit was hosting a live festival in Manhattan. One of our sponsors, Schick, had a booth set up so Chanel could shave a random New Yorker. SwimDaily editors Andy Gray and Kelsey Hendrix hit the street to find someone with stubble when they came across some guy named Derek. He seemed a little surprised at first, though that's a perfectly fair reaction when you ask a random person if they'd like to get their face shaved by a SI Swimsuit model. But Derek was game and as the video above demonstrates, he got a great shave.

Fast forward 18 months and our random New Yorker named Derek happens to be the same Derek who is currently on The Bachelorette. And he's doing quite well for himself. He had his first one-on-one date with JoJo and it went so well that she gave him a rose afterward (which means he'll be on the show for another week).

We're not sure what the next few months have in store on The Bachelorette, but if JoJo does indeed choose Derek, let's hope her shaving skills are up to par!
